ARLINGTON, Texas — Eagles second-year linebacker Davion Taylor will miss another game with a calf injury.
Taylor, 23, came into the weekend listed as questionable but is inactive against the Cowboys on Monday Night Football. He went through a heavy workout early before the game.
The only other player who was questionable was Boston Scott (illness). He’s active.
Here’s the Eagles’ full list of inactive players tonight:
- S Rodney McLeod (knee)
- OT Jordan Mailata (knee)
- LB Davion Taylor (calf)
- QB Gardner Minshew
- OL Jack Anderson
Earlier this week, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said Taylor was “day to day.”
“He had some scar tissue that built up in his calf that he had a little bit of pain in there,” Sirianni said.

Taylor, a third-round pick last year, suffered the injury in training camp and missed extended time. He was inactive for Week 1 but returned in Week 2, playing just nine snaps before his calf gave him more issues. It was just nine snaps, but Taylor looked active and had two tackles. Taylor got a lot of first-team reps early in training camp but this injury has really derailed the beginning of his second season.
The Eagles on Monday Night Football will have two new starters on their offensive line. Rookie second-round pick Landon Dickerson will start at right guard for Brandon Brooks, who is on IR with a pec strain. And former first-round pick Andre Dillard will get the start for Mailata, who was injured late in Thursday’s practice.
The Eagles’ starting offensive line (left to right): Dillard, Isaac Seumalo, Jason Kelce, Dickerson, Lane Johnson. Brett Toth will be the backup swing tackle for tonight’s game. Nate Herbig will be interior depth. And Sua Opeta, who was elevated for this game, is active as well.
Replacing McLeod will likely be a combination of Marcus Epps and K’Von Wallace. CB Mac McCain is active for the first time as an Eagle.
Mailata and McLeod were ruled out by Sirianni on Saturday.
