Ryan Kerrigan is finally done terrorizing the NFC East.
(I guess that reign of terror didn't really extend to the 2021 season. But you know what I mean.)
Kerrigan, who spent 10 years with Washington before playing a largely useless season in Philadelphia last year, is signing a one-day contract with the Commanders to retire as a member of the organization he called home for a decade.

"To think I've been in one place for 10 years and have had the fond memories that I've had, especially at FedExField, I just kind of wanted to go back and relive some of those moments," Kerrigan said in a statement Friday, notably omitting his one year in Philadelphia in which he recorded three total tackles across 16 games.
Can't forget those 1.5 sacks in the playoff game against the Bucs, though. Big stuff.
NFL
Kerrigan, who turns 34 in a few weeks, was an absolute menace during his decade in Washington, tallying up four Pro Bowl appearances, 95.5 sacks, 26 forced fumbles, and a trio of pick-sixes across 156 games. He was particularly productive against the Eagles, recording 13.5 sacks and six (!!) forced fumbles in 19 games vs. the Birds.
However forgetful his final season was, those first 10 were inspired. The dude was a stud in his prime. Now he hands the torch to newfound Washington edge rusher supreme Chase Young. It's like a factory over there.
