It’s a New York (well, really New Jersey) state of mind this week for the Eagles.
The Eagles (3-4-1 overall, 3-5 against the spread — ATS) are a 3-point favorite at the Giants (2-7 overall, 6-3 ATS), per the opening line set by NBC Sports betting partner PointsBet. The Giants' last five games have been decided by three points or less and their 6-3 mark ATS is the second-best record this season.
Back in Week 7, the Eagles did not cover the 5-point spread against Big Blue but did rally for the 22-21 win thanks to two Carson Wentz fourth-quarter touchdown passes. The Eagles have won eight straight versus the Giants but are just 3-5 ATS in those contests.

The Eagles have fared quite well heading up the Jersey Turnpike. The Eagles are 10-2 straight up while going 9-3 ATS in their last 12 meetings in North Jersey, according to Rotoworld.
The NFC East race might be too close to call in early November but the Eagles sure have a stronghold on it being the odds-on favorite at -334 ($10 bet to win $2.99).
Just two weeks ago, the Birds were listed at -167 ($10 bet to win $5.99) to win the division, followed by the Cowboys (+350), Washington (+400) and the Giants (+1200).
This week, the Cowboys have a bye and Washington visits Detroit. If the Eagles take care of business and Washington falters, then is it crazy to think the Birds can be projected as NFC East winners?
