If you've ever thrown a football, the Eagles are coming.
Well, not quite. But the team has worked out the three top quarterbacks in the draft — Carson Wentz, Jared Goff and Paxton Lynch — and Kevin Hogan this week.
And they're planning next week already.
According to ESPN's Adam Caplan, that's when the team will get a chance to take a closer look at Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg.
Hackenberg is a curious case, perhaps more than any other quarterback in this year's class.
The big 6-4 passer thrived as a freshman at Penn State under then-coach Bill O'Brien, but regressed in his last two years under James Franklin. In that freshman season, he completed 58.9 percent of his passes for 2,955 yards with 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. That was his peak.
In 2014, he passed for 2,977 yards but threw just 12 touchdowns with 15 interceptions. Last season, he threw for just 2,525 yards.

Hackenberg's completion percentage actually dropped in each of his college seasons.
To make matters worse, Hackenberg has reportedly been blaming Franklin for his struggles in the last two years. While it might be the truth, plenty of teams would probably prefer Hackenberg take the blame for his struggles.
All that aside, Hackenberg has all the physical tools and some NFL team will draft him and try to coach him up. Perhaps the Eagles could be that team.
Last week, head coach Doug Pederson said after the top three quarterbacks in the draft, he liked some others who could be the third-string option.
It's unclear if that answer is Hackenberg, but the Eagles are at least going to find out.
