Sam Bradford says DeMarco Murray hasn't told him he's unhappy

Based on a report from NFL Network, Eagles running back DeMarco Murray is unhappy in Philadelphia.

If that's true, he hasn't told Sam Bradford.

"I’ve talked to him several times and we normally don’t talk about football when we talk. We do enough of that," Bradford said during his press conference on Thursday after signing a two-year deal to stay in Philly (see story). "He’s never brought it up to me. Like I said, there was a report that I was unhappy here and that wasn’t true at all. There’s really no telling."

Murray, 28, was Bradford's teammate at Oklahoma. The duo reunited in Philadelphia in 2015, after Bradford was acquired through a trade and Murray was signed as a free agent.

While Bradford had an up-and-down season, he thrived late in the year and earned a two-year contract worth $36 million. Meanwhile, Murray struggled and lost playing time. He finished the year with just 702 yards (3.6 average) after leading the league in rushing in 2014.

Murray still has four years left on his contract and will have a base salary of $7 million to go along with a cap hit of $8 million in 2016. It would cost the Eagles a lot to cut him and trading a player with that type of salary would be difficult, so it's probably not up to Murray if he's playing for the Eagles next year.

But does head coach Doug Pederson think his running back is happy in Philly?

"I don't know. I haven't talked to him," Pederson said. "I can't tell you one way or the other if he is or not. We'd love to have him. He's a member of the Philadelphia Eagles and we'll just go from there."
