Source: Wide receiver Chris Givens visiting Eagles

It looks like the Eagles are hoping to bolster their receiving corps.

Veteran free agent receiver Chris Givens is visiting the Eagles on Wednesday, a source confirmed to CSNPhilly.com. (ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the visit.)

Givens, 26, was drafted by the Rams in 2012 and played with Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford in St. Louis.

In his five-year career, Givens (6-0, 203) has 107 catches for 1,779 yards and five touchdowns. But he has just 31 catches in his last two seasons. In October, he was traded from the Rams to the Ravens for a seventh-round pick.

Givens' best season came in 2012 as a rookie, when Bradford played all 16 games. That year he caught 42 passes for 698 yards and three touchdowns.

Of his 107 career catches, 60 of them have come off the right hand of Bradford. They've gone for 993 yards (16.55 average per completion) and three touchdowns. Signing in Philadelphia would obviously give Givens the chance to reunite with Bradford, who signed a two-year deal to stay in Philly earlier this offseason.

Right now, the Eagles' top three receivers are Jordan Matthews, Josh Huff and Nelson Agholor. Howie Roseman and Doug Pederson want to let the trio develop and grow (see story)

But if Givens can rediscover some of what made him click with Bradford, he might be able to help in 2016.
