Best of NHL: John Tortorella, Blue Jackets win 2nd straight

NEWARK, N.J. -- The Columbus Blue Jackets might be turning things around under new coach John Tortorella.

Two wins in a row is one sign. Winning when they get outplayed for most of the game is certainly another.

Boone Jenner and Cam Atkinson scored 35 seconds apart in the third period and Sergei Bobrovsky made 23 saves to lead the Blue Jackets to a 3-1 victory over New Jersey on Tuesday night, snapping the Devils' fourth-game winning streak.

Scott Hartnell added an unassisted goal later in the period as the Blue Jackets won despite having only 14 shots (see full story)

Blues' Allen has 26 saves for 6th shutout
ST. LOUIS -- Jake Allen got a shutout and some bragging rights over friend and former teammate Ben Bishop on Tuesday night.

Allen made 26 saves for his sixth career shutout as the St. Louis Blues beat Bishop and the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0.

"A shutout always makes it a little bit better, but we got the win and I thought he played really well, too," Allen said. "It was a good battle by both teams. It was a close game. We got some chances both ways but nothing major. Guys played well."

Roussel's goal caps Stars' comeback over Ducks
DALLAS -- Antoine Roussel scored with 1:28 to play, rallying the Dallas Stars to a 4-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night.

Patrick Sharp, Cody Eakin and John Klingberg scored in the second period to tie the score after falling behind 3-0. Antti Niemi had 17 saves to help Dallas improve to 7-2.

NHL scoring leader Jamie Benn had three assists for the Stars, giving the 2014-15 Art Ross Trophy winner 15 points this season.

Mike Santorelli, Shawn Horcoff and Carl Hagelin all scored in the final 5:16 of the first period. Frederick Andersen finished with 30 saves, including 15 in the third period when the Ducks were outshot 16-2 (see full story)
