The Flyers and Penguins are going back outside this season in February, but you'll be able to score tickets beginning next week.
The NHL on Friday afternoon announced ticket sales for the 2019 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series matchup at Lincoln Financial Field will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
Tickets will be sold via Ticketmaster and the NHL Ticket Exchange.
The Feb. 23, 2019, tilt at the Linc will be the second time the Flyers and Penguins face each other outside. The two teams faced off in the 2017 Stadium Series at Heinz Field. Pittsburgh won, 4-2.
As far as outdoor games go, the Flyers and Penguins have been largely featured. This will be the Flyers' fourth outdoor game — two Winter Classics and two Stadium Series games — and the Pens' fifth — two Winter Classics and three Stadium Series.
It will be the first time the Linc will host a hockey game and the second time Philly holds an outdoor game. The Flyers hosted the Rangers during the 2012 Winter Classic at Citizens Bank Park. The Flyers lost that game, too — 3-2.
In fact, the Flyers have yet to win an outdoor game. They are 0-4. Considering their recent struggles with the Penguins, it's hard to envision the Flyers' first outdoor win coming this season.

Regardless, outdoor hockey is fun and the home of the Super Bowl champion Eagles will host one of hockey's top rivalries, even if it's not really as big of one as it used to be (see story).
