The Flyers (15-26-10) will try to snap a six-game losing streak Saturday when they host the Capitals (28-16-9).

• Joel Farabee and Derick Brassard are making their returns to the lineup.

Farabee will jump back onto the Flyers' first line with Claude Giroux and Cam Atkinson.

The 22-year-old winger missed the last 11 games because of a second injury to the area of his left shoulder.

"He's a very dynamic player," Atkinson said Friday. "He plays in all situations.

"Him and I had some pretty good chemistry before he got hurt. Just his offensive mindset, he's always looking to make a play and I love that. He's definitely going to help us."

Brassard is making his fourth return to the lineup. The 34-year-old center missed 31 of the last 34 games because of a persistently nagging hip injury. Brassard has returned three times from the injury only to come back out of the lineup the very next game.

"I made sure to ask several times, 'Are you sure?'" Flyers interim head coach Mike Yeo said with a smile Friday. "He feels good. He's been out for a while here, he's had a lot of skates, been involved in a lot of practices — some good practices this week, some pregame skates, some practices last week. I'm confident and now just got to get through the game."

• Carter Hart will start in net after missing the last two games because of an eye infection.

The 23-year-old has allowed more than three goals in a game just three times since Dec. 8. Two of those times have come in his last three starts.

In that span overall, Hart is 4-9-3 with a 2.96 goals-against average and .908 save percentage.
