The Flyers re-signed Linus Hogberg to a one-year, two-way, $750,000 contract Friday.
The Swedish defenseman was a restricted free agent this offseason. He'll be a restricted free agent again and arbitration eligible when his deal expires next summer.
Hogberg, who turns 24 next Sunday, made his NHL debut with the Flyers toward the end of last season. He fared well in his audition, finishing with two assists and eight blocked shots through five games with the big club.
The 2016 fifth-round draft pick is projected to open the 2022-23 season with AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley. He'll look to be a call-up option throughout the season if the Flyers are hit by injuries on the back end.
Restricted free agent forward Wade Allison also signed his new deal Friday.
Owen Tippett, Zack MacEwen, Morgan Frost, Isaac Ratcliffe, Tanner Laczynski and Jackson Cates were RFAs that also inked new deals this summer. Forward Hayden Hodgson is the Flyers' last RFA in line for a new contract before training camp.
