The Flyers will honor their iconic public address announcer Lou Nolan in a ceremony Saturday, April 9, before the team's game against the Ducks at the Wells Fargo Center.
Nolan's voice is synonymous with the Flyers. He's in his 50th year as the club's PA man and has astoundingly served the Flyers since the inception of the franchise.
The Philadelphia native was a press box assistant during the Flyers' inaugural season in 1967-68. He then worked in the team's public relations before becoming the PA announcer, a role he has held since 1972.
