The NHL unveiled their Reverse Retro jerseys for this season. So we ranked all 31 jerseys.

From the cartoony duck on the front to the terrible name font on the back, duck is what I’d do if I was wearing one of the monstrosities.

Never liked these jerseys to begin with, the logos and color scheme look like a fever dream.

Could’ve went full retro to the original “stick as the T” version of the logo, instead missed the open net and went with the Postal Service editions.

I know the team name is a musical reference, but if you’re the Blues, why is the jersey 90% red?

This one never had a chance to be avant garde in a good way. They have two colors, and one of them is white. Doomed.

Another missed chance to go all the way back to the original logo. Instead, just the old-school color scheme, with the Dominik Hasek-era logos. Another whiff.

I feel like some of the newer teams in the league could really go nuts with their alternate jersey offerings, but C-Bus feels super-generic.

I know they changed cities, but this seemed like an easy North Stars play here. Instead, they went with their first Dallas-era logo, and virtually no color. Dallas sucks again.

This would’ve looked SO much better in the blue of their original colors. The notched numbers are a nice touch.

Another Original-Sixer with two main colors. Almost nowhere to go with the Bruins. At least they went with the spoked B, rather than the scared bear.

Without much of a retro to go to, Vegas goes with a different color scheme on its alternate logo. Very red.

This could’ve been top 5 had they opted for the Pavel Bure-era rocket skates logo.

I always thought of Lady Liberty as an uplifting, welcoming, comforting image. Except on a hockey jersey.

Pretty generic. Another jersey with an alarming amount of red.

Tampa throws it back to their original logos, but it could’ve been a lot cooler if they had gone with their mid-1990s jersey numbers rather than block numbers.

Played it safe, although they would’ve blown up the Internet if they went with the Fisherman logo.

The orange on white works for me. Just enough color, looks clean.

Can’t go wrong with grey and blue, and I like going back to the late 1960s logo.

A very nice choice here, hitting the right notes with the North Stars color scheme. I actually like this a lot better than their current colors.

Tough to mess with a classic, and Chicago nails it, going way back to feature their original logo.

Florida goes to their original logo (better than what they have now), and the sleeves take it back as well with the chevron stripes.

The Pens went with a favorite of their fanbase, the diagonal letters jersey they used in their inaugural season and again in the 1990s.

San Jose brings back their big chevron sleeve stripes for this one. The grey works against the teal and black.

Not a lot of wiggle room with just orange, black, and white to work with, but a good move to go with the Legion of Doom era jerseys with a twist.

Never understood why the Devils got rid of the green from their color scheme. Welcome back.

It’ll always be jarring to see the Canadiens logo on a jersey that isn’t either red or white, but the blue absolutely works.

The original purple and gold colors, with the Gretzky-era logo. Very nicely paired.

I’m a big fan of the horse alternate logo they used in the 1990s and 2000s. This is actually a step up from that jersey, going all black, rather than red below the stripes.

The navy logo on a slate grey uniform is a great look. Simple, yet effective.

Yes! Take it all the way back to the team’s former name and home, the Quebec Nordiques. They should have these printed with “Sakic” and the number 19 already on the back.

The hockey world has been waiting patiently for this, and finally, they’ve been rewarded. The Whale. I’m playing Brass Bonanza in my head as we speak.
