Braves pitcher Huascar Ynoa got knocked out of the game by the Brewers, and then knocked out of the rotation for the next few months by the dugout bench.
Ynoa broke a bone in his pitching hand when he punched the bench after exiting a poor outing against Milwaukee on Sunday. Ynoa was placed on the 10-day IL with a fractured right hand and is expected to miss a couple of months.

“That’s a tough one,” Braves manager Brian Snitker told reporters. “He got frustrated after his outing yesterday and punched the seat in the dugout and broke his hand. It’s going to be a couple months that he’ll be down, then we’ll have to get him built back up. I hate to see that. The young guy was doing so well. That’s a big loss for us.”
Ynoa leaves a gaping hole in the Braves' rotation. He'll also be missed at the plate, where he is hitting .353 with two home runs and six RBIs, including a grand slam.
The 22-year-old entered Sunday's game with a 4-1 record and 2.23 ERA, but suffered one of his worst outings of the season after allowing five runs over 4 1/3 innings. He gave up a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth to Travis Shaw that gave the Brewers a 5-0 lead. Ynoa retired the next batter before being taken out by Snitker.
Ynoa returned to the dugout and added injury to insult by taking his frustrations out on the bench, which took the punch like a champ.
