Phillies' spring training home gets a new name

We saw the first look of Bryce Harper in “Clearwooder” on Tuesday and the guy looks jacked and ready to smash baseballs. His skipper, however, said he doesn’t look any different and is just as hungry to win in 2021.

The Phillies’ spring training home has a new name. They’ll play their first game at the newly christened BayCare Ballpark on Monday, March 1.

It’s a 1:05 p.m. game against the Orioles and you can watch it live on NBC Sports Philadelphia+. Here’s the full spring training broadcast schedule.

The new naming rights agreement lasts six years with a five-year renewal option. Previously, it had been Spectrum Field, Bright House Field and Bright House Networks Field.

The Clearwater Threshers, now part of the Low-A Southeast Division in Minor League Baseball’s new alignment, will continue playing their home games at what is now called BayCare Ballpark.

BayCare Health System has been a partner with the Phillies at their spring training ballpark for more than 17 years.
