Earlier this month, MLB announced there won’t be a universal designated hitter for the 2021 season. Phillies manager Joe Girardi chats about how that could hurt or help the 2021 Phillies lineup.

MLB issued revised spring training schedules Friday, with teams split up into tighter geographical groupings.

The Phillies’ first Grapefruit League game will be on Feb. 28 at Lakeland against the Tigers.

Their first home game at Spectrum Field is March 1 against the Orioles. Some details here on tickets, which go on sale to the general public on Feb. 19.

There are 28 games on the Phillies’ spring schedule, all against the Tigers (Lakeland), Orioles (Sarasota), Blue Jays (Dunedin), Yankees (Tampa) and Pirates (Bradenton). Without traffic, none of these stadiums are more than 90 minutes from the Phillies’ complex in Clearwater.

Pitchers and catchers report on Wednesday, Feb. 17. The first full-squad workout is Monday, Feb. 22.

Here is the Phillies' full spring schedule.
