Jerami Grant has been fined $10,000 for throwing a water bottle into the stands during the Sixers' loss to the Wizards on Monday at the Verizon Center.
The incident took place with 8:44 left in the fourth quarter.
Kiki VanDeWeghe, NBA executive vice president, basketball operations, announced the fine on Thursday.
As a kid, Grant grew up in the Verizon Center, following around his father, Harvey, who was the Wizards' director of player development for three years through 2007.
“I was kind of a ball boy,” Grant said. “I kind of did what I wanted because I was young. I just ran around, played with the players, used to play video games, stuff like that.”
Grant played 35 minutes in the 116-108 loss to the Wizards, posting 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and two blocks.
