
NEWARK, Del. -- Ryan Daly scored 23 points, grabbed nine rebounds to lead six Blue Hens in double-digit scoring and Delaware beat Division III member Wesley College 93-78 in its home opener on Friday night.
Derrick Woods and Anthony Mosely scored 11 apiece, and Eric Carter, Chyree Walker and Skye Johnson each had 10 for Delaware (2-1). Daly finished with nine rebounds and the Blue Hens outrebounded the Wolverines 44-27, outshot them from the floor 57 percent (38 of 67) to 45 percent (25 of 55) and outscored them 72-26 in the paint.

Woods' layup put Delaware up for good, 17-13, and the Blue Hens led by as many as 18 in building a 51-36 halftime lead behind Daly's 11 points. The Wolverines closed to 59-49 points on Cameron's free throw, but Woods' layup sparked a 12-4 run capped by Bryant's dunk and Delaware led by as many as 20 in the second half.
The Blue Hens hit 1 of 12 from beyond the arc to Wesley's 7 of 17, led by Brian Cameron's four 3-pointers.
Cameron finished with 30 points on 11-of-19 shooting.
