Eagles beat writers piled into a room at the NovaCare Complex on Tuesday to speak to Andy Reid – on the phone. The Birds’ head coach of 14 years returns to Philly with his Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night in a game that is sure to bring back feelings of nostalgia all across the fan base.
Not for Reid though. Andy admitted he wouldn’t have time to reflect at all this week or during the game, because Chip Kelly has done a “heck of a job” with the Eagles and they’re a good football team. That’s right, Big Red actually dropped a heck of a job somewhere in there.
Based on Twitter, it sounded like the same old Andy coming back to town, even goofing that the biggest difference between Kansas City and Philadelphia is now he eats barbecue instead of cheesesteaks. He did have some complimentary things to say about Chip and a couple of his former players though, so we compiled a few of the best lines from Twitter for your enjoyment.
