Archbishop Wood girl's basketball team and Roman Catholic boy's team take home Catholic League championship trophies

Thousands of spectators packed the Palestra in University City for the Philadelphia Catholic League basketball finals. Both men’s and women’s teams battled for the title in action packed double header. Archbishop Wood’s women’s team defeated Archbishop Carroll for the championship title, while Roman Catholic’s boy’s team won the championship against Archbishop Ryan in overtime thanks to a dramatic buzzer-beater.
