The wounds from yesterday's 6-4 loss to the Devils are still fresh, as should be expected after we had to endure Ilya Kovalchuk posting a Gordie Howe hat trick. Here are a few stories to distract us from that, and perhaps one to add a little salt.

Meanwhile, the February 12th episode the NBC Network show "Charlie Moore: No Offense," featuring the Mad Fisherman, will showcase the rod and reel talents of Flyers bench boss Peter Laviolette. Zac Rinaldo's agitation may have helped the Flyers turn the tide of yesterday's game, but it also cost him $5,000. After the game, Rinaldo was issued two separate fines of $2,500, one for a late hit on Jacob Josefson and another for the trip of Zach Parise that led to the third period melee also including the Schenn/Kovalchuk fight. Still awaiting word on whether Parise was fined for slashing Jaromir Jagr and possibly breaking his finger, or Anton Volchenkov for hitting him at every opportunity. I guess Volch had to find another skill player to pick at, with Danny Briere still sidelined with the concussion he gave him. [CSN Philly]
