Former Eagles lineman Gene Gossage, a member of the franchise's 1960 NFL Championship team, died at the age of 76 this past Sunday in Old Saybrook, Conn., the team announced Thursday.

Gossage played 40 games with the Eagles from 1960-62 after being selected by the team in the 28th round of the 1958 draft. He was a two-time All-Big Ten selection while in college at Northwestern.
In life after football, Gossage became the vice president of the industrial hardware division of Stanley Industries. He is survived by his wife, Jaqueline, son, Gene Gossage, daughter, Jennifer Carr, and a grandson, Hudson Carr.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
