The Phillies return home tonight to Citizens Bank Park under conditions that nicely match their offensive production as of late: crappy. General Manager Ruben Amaro Jr. says the team is just going to have to work through it, "I think we’ve gotta ride out the storm a little bit and get guys healthy and hope guys start performing a little better."
Ride out the storm, get healthy, and hope. Sounds like my plan for the Day of Rapture on Saturday, minus the get healthy part. Ribeyes and cheese fries for days.
The Phillies welcome the Colorado Rockies (22-18) to town for a quick two-game series before Texas comes in on Friday for four. The Rockies are coming off a two-game sweep of the Giants, beating Tim Lincecum and Jonathan Sanchez while posting way more runs than the Phils did in St. Louis. The Phillies have put up a total of 7 runs over their last four games while the Rockies plated 12 in their last two games alone.

Jorge De La Rosa (5-1, 3.70) will be the first in a string of tough pitchers the Phils are set to face to kick off their homestead. He'll take on Cole Hamels (4-2, 3.19) for the Fightins.
As for Charlie's lineup of the day? Jimmy will once again lead off while Michael Martinez will bat in the two-hole for the second straight evening. Chuck will ride John Mayberry Jr, who gets the start in right and bats fifth as Ryan Howard's protection. Raul, Ruiz, and Valdez will round out the bottom of the order.
First pitch scheduled for 7:05. Bring your poncho and jacket as the skies look rather ominous.
What do you think? What will it take to turn this offense around?
