An email from reader Lee P. alerted us to the interesting relationship between new offensive line coach Howard Mudd and new defensive line coach Jim Washburn. Lee writes about the awesome NFL Network piece on the two:
Haven't seen too much about Howard Mudd with all the Castillo talk goin' around, so I did some searching...
The AFC South Blog had a piece on Washburn & Mudd coming together and had a link to the NFL Films video on their trip together to South Africa.

I think the NFL Films piece is a must-watch for Eagles fans. Itreally gets into the personalities of the two guys. As neat as it is tosee two rivals maintain such a close friendship off the field, I'm evenmore excited to have them now working together for my Iggles.
As for Castillo, I'm (justifiably, I think) scared they're puttinghim in this position without much previous experience. However, if youhad to pick someone inexperienced to put in there, you'd want someonewith a good work ethic, and someone who can work well with hisassistants and associates to put together a game plan. I think Castillofits that description perfectly, and with the hiring of Washburn andMudd, two guys who understand football, I'm less afraid of Castillofailing.
Kudos to Andy for recognizing the Mudd/Washburn friendship andpulling them together. Lets just hope Andy can get them some talent, and then we can watch these guys work their magic...
Thanks to Lee for the email.
