Hugh Douglas No Longer Employed By ESPN Following Racially Charged Incident with Coworker

After multiple reports surfaced last week about ESPN TV analyst and former Philadelphia Eagle Hugh Douglas used racial slurs directed at his coworker, Sports Illustrated reported today that Douglas has been let go from his position.

"He no longer works for us effective today,” an ESPN spokeman told SI's Richard Deitsch.

There was no further clarification from the spokesman on the situation or comment on the original incident reported by both Deadspin and The Big Lead.

Douglas did however comment about leaving ESPN on his Twitter this afternoon:

I am very disappointed to be leaving ESPN and will have more to say about this situation and my future at the appropriate time
