For the 2019 Overwatch League Grand Finals weekend, world-renowned EDM artist Martin Garrix has been announced as a headliner at an outdoor concert featuring special guests Matt Ox and PAZ at the Wells Fargo Center complex on Saturday, September 28.

The outdoor show held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia will precede the main grand finals event taking place at the arena the next day, Sunday, September 29.

Last year the Overwatch League opening show was hosted by DJ Khaled who to the dismay and confusion of many fans put on one of the worst shows to date at an esports event. Learning their lesson from last year’s awkward performance, the community has responded with a wave of positivity to the announcement of Martin Garrix and his fellow artists at the 2019 grand finals event.

Martin Garrix is an internationally renowned artist known for his work in the pop and electronic music circles. As one of the leaders in the current generation of music with countless festival appearances under his belt, Garrix’s musical achievements have been recognized with two MTV EMAs in 2016, holding the #1 spot in the 2017 and 2018 DJ Mag Top 100, a ‘Man of Today’ accolade from GQ, a spot among Forbes’ ’30 Under 30’ and another at Billboard’s ‘EDM Power Players’.

Tickets for the show go on sale this week on Friday, July 26 at 10 a.m., online at WellsFargoCenterPhilly.com, by phone at 1-800-298-4200, or in person at the Wells Fargo Center box office.
