Of course it was Freddy Galvis who hit into a rare double pickle

We pointed out prior to yesterday's game the atrocious time at the plate Freddy Galvis is having this season, so I'll try not to pile it on too much again here.

We're pulling for the kid. Really.

But Galvis not only had a tough night at the plate in the Phils extra-innings loss to the Blue Jays on Tuesday night,  he also had some trouble in the field and on the base path, a rare trifecta.

The ball he dribbled up the middle and subsequently found himself in a rundown between first and second after Marlon Byrd was tagged out in a rundown between second and third was simply awful. A rare double pickle. That ended poorly twice for the Phillies.

I'd say it was that kind of night for the Phils but Cody Asche's 4-4, capped by a grand slam gave them a huge boost. They simply couldn't generate anything outside of that one inning.

More on the lackluster night from Jim Salisbury here.
