There never really seemed to be any legit rumblings of Roy Oswalt returning to the Phillies this season, so this is more of a checking up on a former Phillie post than anything, but I always had a soft spot for the former Astro, so I thought it worth pointing out that he is now officially going to pitch for the Texas Rangers this season.
In the end, Oswalt wanted to return to Texas to a team with a pretty damn good lineup.
"Looking at the team as a whole, one through nine, it's probably the
best lineup in the game," Oswalt said. "I was thinking that if I could
get over here and help the team out, as far as eating up some innings
and take a little pressure off the bullpen, that maybe it would push
them over the top."

Perhaps Lil Roy could come into a World Series game against the Phillies and pitch in relief taboot. Everyone involved would probably be happy to see that.
