Now, behold: Temple Basketball's new alternate shorts, courtesy Darren Rovell on Twitter. They're apparently part of the team's "Big Owl" uniform, which features some gold trim on what are basically the same shirts.

Instant analysis: I love them. But I'm the same guy who would sell off a first-born to get the Owl wings back on the floor at the Apollo, so I'm predisposed to liking these.
The new shorts come one game after Temple unveiled a new paint job for the west wall of the Liacouras Center, behind the student section.
It is admittedly complicated to discuss any of this given Temple's decision on Friday to cut seven of its intercollegiate athletic programs.
But, again, and I cannot stress this enough, Temple is not paying for these shorts.
