ESPN's Chris Broussard tweeted that sources are telling him that Allen Iverson will officially announce his retirement at the Sixers home opener on October 30th when the team takes on LeBron James and the Miami Heat. UPDATE: David Aldridge also reports on the October 30th retirement but also adds that Iverson could wind up with a job in the Sixers organization per one of his sources. Which leads you to wonder, what kind of job would Allen Iverson be good at in the Sixers org?
Finally: Allen Iverson to officially retire in Philly Oct. 30 (ESPN first), may wind up with a post-playing job with the Sixers, per source.
