A dreary Monday morning just got a bit tougher.
Roy Halladay is set to retire from the game of baseball. He'll sign a one-day contract with the Toronto Blue Jays and make the announcement later this afternoon, according to multiple reports.

The decline of Halladay was one of the tougher things to watch on a Phillies team that was headed nowhere. He went from being one of the absolutely most dominating pitchers in the game to a proud guy struggling to come to terms with time and decline.
Halladay was on the mound for the best (aside from 2008 World Series Game 5) and worst games I've ever been in attendance for. The no-hitter against the Reds and the brutal, brutal loss in game 5 against the Cardinals in the playoffs.
This will be a tough day for Phillies fans. If there was one guy you wanted to see get a championship ring in his career, it was Roy Halladay.
That will never happen now.
