Tony Romo won't Romo division away because he's out for the season

Didn’t see this one coming. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a back injury, which means the Philadelphia Eagles will be facing Kyle Orton in Week 17 for the NFC East title.

Honestly, it’s a shame. While it gives the Eagles an obvious advantage this Sunday, we’re not actively rooting for injuries. Besides, it’s always more fun to watch him Romo the game away at the end.

Orton will be making his first start since 2011. His has a 35-34 record in his nine-year NFL career to go with a 79.7 passer rating. Obviously, the Eagles can’t take him too lightly—we saw how that went against Matt Cassel in Minnesota—but this is a huge blow for Dallas.

The Cowboys are already horrendous defensively. Now the offense will likely take a huge step back. It’s time for the Eagles to finish what they started and take the NFC East.
