Eagles win shakes up the NFC East betting landscape

Ray Didinger and Seth Joyner give the Eagles credit for getting the win over the Giants but the game was far from perfect.

Ladies and gentlemen!

At 2-4-1, your Philadelphia Eagles are in first place in the NFC East.

And now they have leapfrogged the Dallas Cowboys as the betting favorites to win the division.

Here's a look at the latest lines after the Eagles' Thursday night win over the Giants, per NBC Sports Betting partner PointsBet:

It hasn’t been pretty, but nonetheless at +110 ($10 bet to win $11) the Eagles are a slight favorite to win the division per PointsBet. This will certainly change if Dallas wins at Washington on Sunday and regains first place in the East, but nothing is a given in this division.

Right after their tie with the Bengals, which moved their record to 0-2-1, the Eagles were +275 to be crowned division champions.

That low point marked their longest odds throughout the season, so far. Leading into Thursday night’s game versus the Giants, the Eagles were at +135, while the Cowboys were listed at +100.

Considering the division is a mess right now, there will be plenty of ups and downs and twists and turns, like a roller coaster on the Jersey Shore boardwalk, before we're through 17 weeks of football. The only difference is a trip on the boards is a lot more fun, and less exhausting, than sitting through three hours of NFC Least football.
