The news that no fans would be able to attend games at the Linc "until further notice" came in late August, but many believed tailgating would have a chance to stick around.

Philadelphia officials announced on Wednesday that all parking lots and streets surrounding Lincoln Financial Field will be closed in an attempt to shut down all tailgating for Eagles games. In addition, FDR Park will also not allow the pregame ritual.
Here is what the current situation is going to look Sunday, Sept. 20, for the Eagles home opener against the Rams:
• The area surrounding 7th Street, Broad Street, Packer Avenue and I-95 will be closed to vehicle traffic between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• 11th Street will be closed to traffic in both directions between Pattison Avenue and Terminal Avenue.
NFL
• Pattison Avenue will be closed to traffic in both directions between South Broad and 7th Street.
• 10th Street will be closed to southbound traffic between Packer Avenue and Hartranft Street.
• Darien Street will be closed to southbound traffic between Packer Avenue and Pattison Avenue.
"There are still many ways to enjoy the game safely and we encourage fans to watch at home with family," Mayor Jim Kenney said in a statement.
It looks like your only chance to get in a lot on game day is going to be if you're in the mood to look at dinosaurs, as Wells Fargo Center is hosting the "Jurassic Quest Drive Thru."
And no, they will not let you stay afterwards.
