Owning an NFL franchise isn't cheap, so it shouldn't be surprising that when Forbes released its "Forbes 400" list on Wednesday, a list of the 400 richest people in the United States, more than a few of the league's owners showed up.
In fact, nearly half of the league's 32 franchises were represented on the list, including Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie.
Lurie came in tied for 319th - with seven other people, including Sean Parker of Napster and Facebook fame - at a net worth of $2.7 billion. That's quite a bit of money!

To put in some (very insane) perspective, Lurie would be able to buy 22,501,875 Carson Wentz jerseys.
In terms of the entire league, Lurie, who owns more than 90% of the Eagles, finished 14th, and second in the NFC East.
Here's a look at the Top 5 in the NFL, including the richest owner in the division:
- David Tepper, Panthers: $13 billion
- Jerry Jones, Cowboys: $8.6 billion
- Stan Kroenke, Rams: $8.3 billion
- Shahid Khan, Jaguars: $7.8 billion
- Stephen Ross, Dolphins: $7.2 billion
And here's a possible good sign heading into the Eagles' Week 1 matchup with Washington Football Team: Lurie comes in one spot ahead of Washington owner Dan Snyder among NFL owners.

If you can buy touchdowns, the Eagles are in business on Sunday.
