WrestleMania is coming back to Philly.

Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Eagles, will be the site of WWE's 40th annual WrestleMania event in 2024. WrestleMania 40 will take place over two days at the Linc from Saturday, April 6 to Sunday, April 7.

Philadelphia has hosted the biggest event in professional wrestling just one other time, as WrestleMania 15 was held at the Wells Fargo Center in 1999.

“The Philadelphia Eagles are thrilled to partner with WWE as WrestleMania makes its much-anticipated return to Philadelphia in 2024,” Eagles president and PHL Sports chair Don Smolenski said in a statement released by WWE. “We are excited to help showcase the industry’s most iconic event in front of a global viewing audience and look forward to providing WWE fans in attendance with a first-class experience at Lincoln Financial Field.”

WrestleMania 40 isn't the only wrestling action WWE will be bringing to Philly either. Friday Night SmackDown, Monday Night Raw and the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place at the Wells Fargo Center around WrestleMania weekend. The Pennsylvania Convention Center will host fan events as well.

“We are proud to welcome WWE fans from around the world to Philadelphia to be a part of the historic 40th WrestleMania in 2024,” Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said. “The week-long series of events will help put a global spotlight on our great city while also generating a major impact for our local economy.”

WrestleMania has been mostly held at NFL stadiums in recent years. AT&T Stadium, home of the Cowboys, hosted WrestleMania 38 earlier this year. And WrestleMania 39 is set for Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium, which houses both the Chargers and Rams, next April.
