Finally! Flyers unveil Winter Classic threads

Here they are ... the unis we've all been waiting for.

The Flyers unveiled their Winter Classic jerseys for the first time on Monday in the Phillies' clubhouse at Citizens Bank Park. CSNPhilly's initial reaction: Pretty sharp, but there was something about those rumored dark orange ones with the cursive script that we really did like ...

Flyers chairman Ed Snider, however, was thrilled with the look the team wound up with.

"I love the jersey," Snider said. " ... It's fun. It's a great jersey. We'll love it forever."

And here's how it looks on actual players. (Blair Betts, left, and Brayden Schenn modeling.)

The unveiling made full use of its surroundings. Flyers players were paired up with Phillies, and their nameplates were placed below the Phils' on each.

We can't say we were very surprised to see Ilya Bryzgalov paired up with Roy Halladay.

"This is definitely different, definitely special," Snider said. "And a special occasionwere proud to host. Its interesting that were in the locker room of the baseball team while were announcing this. Seeing the players names here in the locker room, thats kind of interesting too. Its pretty unique."
