Somehow, this Bryce Harper blast was not a home run

Today in "Things You Could Unsuccessfully Try 10,000 Times to Replicate" was this long fly ball from Bryce Harper that, somehow, did not clear the center-field wall at BayCare Ballpark.

Harper blasted an offering from Tigers righty Joe Jimenez and appeared to have his second homer of the game, but the ball was lodged on top of the green wall past center. Can’t recall ever seeing that one before.

It was a ground-rule double for Harper. Nobody remembers your spring training home run total, so who cares? It’s more funny than anything else.

Harper had a day. He crushed a two-run home run in his first at-bat and walked his next time up.

Didi Gregorius hit a homer just as hard, a grand slam that left the park.

There was no need to worry about that one clearing the wall.
