Phillies (48-30) vs. Athletics (35-43), 1:35 p.m. -- WPHL

Starting Pitchers
Phillies: Roy Halladay. Halladay (9-3) will try to become the first pitcher in the National League to win his 10th game and only the third in MLB. Halladay's 119 strikeouts leads the NL.

Athletics: Josh Outman. Outman (3-1) is coming off of a 7-3 win over the Mets on Tuesday. He allowed just two runs (one earned) off of four hits in six innings. Outman was actually drafted by the Phillies in the 10th round in 2005.

Previous games
The Phillies and A's have split their first two contests and Phillies have struggled to score runs in the first two games. On Friday night, they scored only one run in a 1-0 win, which came from a walkoff hit by Ben Francisco.

On Saturday night, the Phillies wasted a strong performance from Cole Hamels, who went eight innings and gave up only two runs.

Head-to-head
The Athletics have now won five of their last six games against the Phillies.

Who's hot?
Before Saturday night's loss, the Phillies had won their previous seven games at Citizens Bank Park. As a team, the Phillies mustered only four hits against Trevor Cahill in the second game of the series.

Sound off
Will Ruben Amaro make a move to bring another bat to Philly?
