It's a beautiful thing to witness a moment that you know someone is going to remember for the rest of their life.
For Sixers and NBA fans watching the draft unfold Wednesday night, that's exactly what happened when Tyrese Maxey - a shooting guard out of the University of Kentucky - was selected 21st overall.
Even through a virtual draft, the emotions were flowing when Maxey first heard that he would be heading to Philadelphia.

The feelings remained just as present when he spoke for the first time in response to being drafted. Seated in between his parents, you were able to see in every aspect of his interview, just how grateful he was for that moment and this opportunity.
Talent aside, the passion and dedication he has as a player - and more importantly, a person - is something that Philadelphia fans embrace with open arms.
It's just the beginning of Maxey's journey with the Sixers, but it seems like he already has the city behind him.
