Michigan State small forward Aaron Henry has agreed to sign a two-way contract with the Sixers, a team source confirmed early Friday morning to NBC Sports Philadelphia.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news.
A 21-year-old lefty who measured at 6-foot-4.5 without shoes and 209.6 pounds at the NBA draft combine, Henry was a Big Ten All-Defense selection for the 2020-21 season, his junior year. He averaged 15.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals.

Outside shooting is not a strength for Henry, who made 29.6 percent of his three-point tries.
In the draft itself, the Sixers added guard Jaden Springer with the 28th pick and frontcourt prospects Filip Petrušev and Charles Bassey with No. 50 and 53, respectively.
The Sixers finished last season with hyper-athletic guard Rayjon Tucker and versatile forward Gary Clark as their two-way players. Henry's two-way deal will allow him to split time between the Sixers and the Delaware Blue Coats, the team's G League affiliate.
Though two-way players were eligible for the postseason last year, that will not be the case for the 2021-22 campaign, ESPN's Bobby Marks reported.

Power forward Paul Reed, a late second-round pick in 2020, was a two-way success story, having his deal converted to a full NBA contract in March.
The Athletic's Sam Vecenie considered Henry among the best undrafted players, and the Sixers evidently shared that opinion about their latest developmental prospect.
