You won't be seeing Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, but the Sixers' will take the court nonetheless on Saturday, July 8 to open Las Vegas summer league play vs. the NBA champion Warriors.
The game will be televised on ESPN2 at 10:30 p.m.
While Simmons and Embiid won't be playing, it's likely we'll get our first glimpse at whoever the Sixers take with the No. 3 overall pick in next Thursday's draft. Furkan Korkmaz, last year's 26th overall pick, may also play in the summer league (see story).
A record 24 teams will compete in Las Vegas, with the championship game taking place on July 17.
Each team will play three preliminary games (July 7-11) that will decide seeds in the tournament, which begins on the 12th.
The Sixers will also face the Spurs (July 9, 10:30 p.m. on ESPN2) and the Celtics (July 11, 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2) in the preliminary round.
