CSN, TCN announce comprehensive Flyers coverage

Philadelphia, PA (October 5, 2015) – Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network are home of the most comprehensive Flyers coverage with 71 high definition game broadcasts featuring the Emmy-award winning broadcast team of Jim Jackson, Keith Jones, Bill Clement and Chris Therien. The networks will also air live pre and postgame shows for all game broadcasts.

Season Opener – October 8
On Thursday, October 8, Comcast SportsNet will have live coverage of the Flyers season opener beginning at 5 p.m. with “Philly Sports Talk.” A special hour-long edition of “Flyers Pregame Live” will begin at 6:30 p.m., and features host Michael Barkann, Flyers Broadcaster Bill Clement, Comcast SportsNet reporter John Boruk, and hockey analyst Al Morganti. The puck drops on the Flyers-Lightning game at 7:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet, followed by “Flyers Postgame Live.”

Home Opener – October 12
Fans will want to tune into Comcast SportsNet for all the action surrounding the Flyers home opener vs. the Florida Panthers on Monday, October 12, starting with “Philly Sports Talk” at 5 p.m. “Flyers Pregame Live” will air live from the Cure Club in the Wells Fargo Center beginning at 6:30 p.m., with the live game broadcast starting at 7 p.m. “Flyers Postgame Live” with reports from John Clark in the locker room, follows the final horn.

“The Orange Line” – Debuts Tuesday, October 13 at 6:30 p.m.
"The Orange Line," a 30-minute show featuring Philadelphia Flyers stories on and off the ice, airs every Tuesday during hockey season. Each week host John Boruk gives fans an all-access look inside the team, with in-depth player interviews you won’t see anywhere else. The show will also explore the franchise’s storied history in the “Orange and Back” segment, plus the network’s team of Flyers analysts will break down the action on the ice.

On the season premiere, Flyers forward Jake Voracek opens up about the pressure that comes with his new long-term contract and why he believes his best hockey is yet to come. Plus, Steve Mason’s “zombie” goaltender masks have become a fan favorite. He takes fans through his vision for this season’s creation. And as the Flyers get set to celebrate Kimmo Timonen retirement night, the show will look back at his most memorable moments in Orange and Black.
