EVESHAM, N.J.Jeremy Maclin welcomed the light workout on Thursday morning.
The 23-year-old Eagles wideout was back on the artificial turf field at the Memorial Sports Complex on Thursday for a very light workout toss-and-catch. He and quarterback Mike Kakfa were the only two Eagles to participate.

The light workout followed a much more intense one on Wednesday in the 90-plus degree heat.
Yeah, definitely, said Maclin of welcoming a tame workout.
That workout yesterday was pretty brutal, but it was good for us though. It was a hot one yesterday. That was as close as you get to training camp heat. It was good for us to be out here pushing the sleigh, going through drills.
Kafka led the mini workout and tossed passes for a little over a half hour. Kafka, of course, may become the backup quarterback if Kevin Kolb is dealt once the lockout is over.

Maclin brought fellow Missouri alum wide receiver Danario Alexander and defensive back Kevin Rutland as well as WR Marcus Harris from Murray State. Alexander is on the St. Louis Rams roster, while Rutland and Harris are free agents and will look for teams once the lockout is lifted.
All four ran routes and caught passes in front of about 20 or 30 spectators, most of which waited for autographs.
When were out there, were visualizing, seeing coverages -- thats how your mind works out there, Kafka said. You cant really replicate a practice or a game rep, but you can definitely visualize it and work as hard as you can to do that.
Kafka said he plans to show up for the workouts in the suburbs for as long as they are held, but he doesnt expect them to get any more intense than they have already.
I dont think were ever going to take it that far, he said. The defense will take care of themselves. Right now, Im just worried about my work as a quarterback and my position.
I think the workouts will continue to be just like this, the way weve been going. I know Mike Vick has a vision of what he wants to do with this thing as it progresses.
Kafka and Maclin have noticed that other teams in the NFL are gathering more than just a handful of players to their voluntary, informal workouts, but they think the way theyre doings things is just fine.
Im not worried about other teams, Kafka said. Im worried about the Eagles. Were just making sure the Eagles are right.
So, will they be ready if and when the lockout is lifted?
Got to be ready, Maclin said.
