Jon Bon Jovi was featured on 60 Minutes last night on CBS. The segment ran the gamut from Bon Jovi's unlikely ascent in the world of Rock and Roll to Jon's unique decision to become a professional sports owner.
I don't consider myself a fan of either the Philadelphia Soul or Bon Jovi's music but I'm sure I belted out the lyrics to Livin' on a Prayer on more than one drunken occasion in college. (Probably at Who's On First.)
One thing I do know is that one of my hottest female friends from college as well as my mother are big Bon Jovi fans, so the guy has range -- or maybe just some strange sex appeal? We could debate the merits of his music all we want but I think his attitude is pretty genuine. And the community involvement of the Soul is quite admirable.

In the video below, Jon admits that the Soul as an organization loses money but notes that the effect the team has in the community far outweighs the bottom line.
