Sony has selected the Big Guy to be on the cover of its top baseball game, MLB '08 "The Show." It's quite an honor for the slugger, and so far, there's no associated curse.
I'm a huge fan of Ryan Howard the player, the person, and the player, but I must admit I was a little surprised he was Sony's man this year as opposed to last, when they selected David Wright. Two years ago, he had an amazing MVP season, with a high average and the league's most homers, but he came down to earth a little bit in '07 (falling all the way to, ya know, second in HR and RBI).
Hopefully there are no rubber chicken dinners associated with the honor. Congrats to our classy 1B.
