Sixers Go for Four Straight in Minneapolis

Share

The Timberwolves had a nice opening night win against the Kings way back in October but have strung together an impressive eight straight losses since. The Sixers on the other hand, have won their last three and look to continue their mini streak tonight in Minnesota.

Since coming to Philly in the offseason, Elton Brand hasn't stepped in right away as the Sixers leading scorer as many expected. That honor goes to second year standout Thaddeus Young, but Brand's presence is felt elsewhere, like on the boards:

The Sixers, the NBA's leading rebounding team with 49.2 per game, have
outrebounded their last three opponents by 7.0 a contest, including a
58-45 edge over the Thunder. Samuel Dalembert had 16 boards and scored 13 Saturday, while Elton Brand -- ninth in the NBA with 10.3 rebounds per game -- had 15 points.

The Sixers will likely see former Sixer Rodney Carney who never really turned into a player while in Philadelphia.

According to EPSN's highly complex computer system, the Sixers are 2-1 favorites to win tonight. Which likely means they will lose.

From the notes: Poor Reggie Evans had dinner all by himself last night. Life's hard for an NBA star.

Tip off tonight at 8:00
