The Phillies today avoided arbitration with Jayson Werth and agreed to a one year deal. His deal this season will be more than double the $850,000 he received in 2007.
Now, if he would have shaved that dirt on his chin the Phillies would have given him another 100k but Werth simply said sacrificing his facial hair isn't worth it.
