The Eagles' sixth wide receivers coach in the last six years is Aaron Moorehead, who has never coached in the NFL but played in the NFL for five years.
Moorehead, 39, comes to the Eagles from Vanderbilt, where he coached under Derek Mason, who was Brad Childress's secondary coach with the Vikings.

1. If Moorehead makes it to next season he'll be the longest-tenured Eagles wide receivers coach since Bob Bicknell, who coached receivers for all three years under Chip Kelly. Greg Lewis was Doug Pederson's first WRs coach but was fired after the 2016 season, Mike Groh was promoted to offensive coordinator after the 2017 season, Gunter Brewer was fired after 2018 and Carson Walch was fired after this past season. Lewis and Moorehead are the last two Eagles wide receivers coaches who played in the NFL. Both played college football at Illinois.
2. Moorhead began his coaching career as a grad assistant at New Mexico in 2009. He was a grad assistant at Stanford under David Shaw -- a one-time Eagles assistant coach under Ray Rhodes -- from 2010 and 2012 and then coached receivers at Virginia Tech under Frank Beamer in 2013 and 2014, under Kevin Sumlin at Texas A&M from 2015 through 2017 and under Mason at Vanderbilt the last two years. At A&M Moorehead coached Josh Reynolds, who has 61 catches for 832 yards and 7 TDs in three years with the Rams, and Christian Kirk, who has 111 catches for 1,299 yards and 6 TDs in two years with the Cards.

3. In his five NFL seasons, Moorehead caught 31 passes for 330 yards. His only career touchdown was a 9-yarder from Peyton Manning in 2006 against the Texans. Of Moorehead's 31 career catches, 23 were from Manning and 8 were from Jim Sorgi.
4. Moorehead and his father Emery are one of seven father-son combinations in NFL history to both win Super Bowls as players. Emery Moorehead spent 1977 through 1988 as an NFL tight end with the Giants, Broncos and Bears and was the Bears’ starting tight end in 1985 when they beat the Patriots 46-10 in Super Bowl XX in New Orleans. Aaron Moorehead was a wide receiver with the Colts when they beat the Bears in Super Bowl XLI in Miami. The Long family (Howie and Chris) is among the six others with a father-son Super Bowl combo.
5. Moorehead isn a cousin of Brad Daugherty, who starred at North Carolina and was the first pick in the 1986 NBA draft. He spent nine years with the Cavs, scored over 10,000 points and was a five-time All-Star before retiring at 28 years old because of back issues.
