Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson on Sunday became the fifth candidate to interview for the Eagles' head coaching vacancy (see story).

Pederson met with the Eagles' brass of Jeffrey Lurie, Howie Roseman and Don Smolenski in Kansas City early Sunday morning, according to Comcast SportsNet's Derrick Gunn.

The Eagles confirmed the interview Sunday afternoon.

Here's the latest from Sunday. We'll update throughout the day:

• Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson is meeting with the Cleveland Browns and the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, according to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

With the Bengals eliminated from the playoffs by the Steelers on Saturday night, Jackson is now free to accept a head coaching job and he may be the next coach hired.

On the NFL Network pregame show Sunday, Ian Rapoport said, "The name to watch is Hue Jackson. … If all goes well today, Hue Jackson could end the day as the 49ers head coach."

Despite meeting with the 49ers first Sunday, Jackson will still interview with the Browns, per Cleveland Plain-Deal's Mary Kay Cabot.

Jackson, who's been Cincinnati's offensive coordinator since 2014, was the head coach of the Raiders in 2011 before getting fired. Oakland was 8-8 in his lone season as coach.

• In addition to interviewing Jackson on Sunday, the Browns also confirmed they interviewed Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott.

With Jackson and McDermott interviewing for the Browns' job, Cleveland has now brought in seven candidates.

The Browns have previously talked to Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia, Cowboys secondary coach Jerome Henderson, Jaguars assistant head coach Doug Marrone, Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin and Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase, who signed on as the Dolphins' head coach Saturday.
