Flyers mascot Gritty makes his glorious video game debut in NHL 20

Gritty is about to take the gaming world by storm.

The Flyers’ mascot features in the trailer for EA Sports’ NHL 20.

The game, which is set to be released on Sept. 13, has an Open Beta until the end of July.

Here’s a glimpse of a Gritty celebration.

Looks pretty realistic, for the most part. EA seems to have nailed the 7-foot Gritty’s build, although the lack of googly eyes is a little disappointing.

If EA is really looking to get Gritty dead on, they’ll include some trademark shenanigans — just imagine video-game Gritty coming down from the rafters at Wells Fargo Center or playing in a Mites on Ice game.
